Healthier Fleetwood would like to extend an invitation to our first Open Meeting of 2019 …
At Emmanuel Church at the Mount, Mount Road, Fleetwood on Wednesday 6th February from 6.30pm.
As always the meetings are for anyone with an interest in the wellbeing of Fleetwood residents and wants to help create a healthier community. After a round up of Healthier Fleetwood news we’ll hear updates on some of the many local groups and activities including the Mens Shed, Beach Wheelchairs, two new art groups, street dance for young people and let you know about some forthcoming events.
Then it’s an open floor …. any new ideas and suggestions are very welcome. We’d particularly like to hear from anyone who wants to start something new in the evenings or weekends and needs support to make it happen. There’s usually somebody at the meetings who can help or we can put you in touch with other residents and one of the many agencies working hard in the community.
Our thanks to Emmanuel Church for supporting us by providing the hall for our meetings again this year. It is February and we’ve been advised that with refurbishment work underway the hall may be a little colder than usual … hot drinks will be available before the meeting!
If you can’t make this meeting they will be held on the first Wednesday of every month throughout the year, same time, same place and we’ll add a summary of the meeting to our social media and website soon after. We also hold a drop-in session at Fleetwood library every Wednesday morning from 10am to 12 noon and on the last Friday of the month host a ‘Chatter Café’ at the YMCA Lofthouse Building, London Street, 10am to 11.30am … all welcome!
We are looking at ‘pop-up’ events around other parts of Fleetwood during the year and will let you know dates and venues when they are confirmed.
