On Thursday 28 March Lancashire LGBT held its annual Quality Mark event, at Preston Grasshoppers RUFC. 17 organisations and services received their Lancashire LGBT Quality Mark certificates, having undergone an assessment of relevant employment policies, equality policies, service leaflets, websites, training etc, to evidence that they are welcoming to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans employees, volunteers and service users.
This year the successful organisations included some which are active in parts of the Blackpool/Wyre/Fylde area, such as Lancashire Wellbeing Service, Active Lancashire, Age UK Lancashire and Relate Lancashire. Blackpool-based organisations which already hold the Quality Mark include UR Potential, Renaissance and the Glenroyd Medical Practice.
