Great news ICANN have been successful in securing Lottery continuation funding to provide Advocacy support at Benefit Assessment and Appeals Advocacy service for Lancashire Residents LBAAS (excluding those who live in the Unitary Authorities of Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool).

The project will commence on 1 May 2019 for 3 years until 30 April 2022 and continues the successful support provided by our Advocates to vulnerable people including those with disabilities, long term health conditions, learning disabilities and mental health issues, who are attending health assessments for their benefit claims, Employment Support Allowance (ESA), Universal Credit (UC) and Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

The funding further allows the expansion of our Pilot project providing Advocacy support at Appeal Tribunals at Preston Magistrates Court  across the rest of the County. The Tribunal venues we will be able to support Lancashire residents at are: Blackburn, Blackpool, Burnley, Lancaster and Preston (excluding those who live in the Unitary Authorities of Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool).
