If you are looking for a meaningful job, a caring, progressive work environment and an opportunity to reach your fullest potential, consider a career with the YMCA.

We are seeking individuals who are inspired by playing an important role in changing people’s lives and therefore communities. We are all about creating inspirational pathways and opportunities, opening doors and welcoming all to get involved and make a positive difference. Working for us means helping children, young people and adults of all levels of ability and from all walks of life, to reach their full potential.

We are seeking volunteers to assist with Fylde Sharks, a fortnightly disabled swimming program at YMCA Kirkham and YMCA St Annes swimming pools. The volunteers will be assisting young people to enter the water safely and supporting them and their swimming teachers during the lessons. The role can either be on the poolside or in the water; no teaching experience is necessary, but volunteers in the pool must be able to swim competently.

Basic training will be provided and appointments will be subject to satisfactory DBS clearance. Opportunities will be available for volunteers who wish to further their training in swimming teaching and delivery.

All applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

The post holder must be aware of equal opportunity principles and comply with the YMCA Fylde Coast equal opportunity procedures.
