Are you a local community group or sport club in Blackpool? We would love to speak to you about joining the Time Credit network.
Blackpool Time Credits network aims to engage with a wide range of organisations in Blackpool to create new opportunities for individuals to give time to their community. Fully funded by Sport England’s Opportunity Fund, the programme is specifically designed to support increased physical activity and wellbeing, for people suffering disadvantage or with additional health and wellbeing needs.
Time Credits are integrated into the existing volunteering pathways of groups and organisations, so that participants are given additional incentives to participate, knowing that by volunteering, they will earn Time Credits which will give them access to new experiences and activities.
We work with groups/organisations to map existing and develop new opportunities to volunteer that build on individual experience and talent. These might include leading or supporting physical activity sessions, gardening or walking groups, or peer support to access physical activity.
