You and key members of your group/organisation are invited to attend our launch event for the new Wyre Community Lottery on 22 January, 2020 at 6pm at Wyre’s Civic Centre, Breck Road, Poulton-Le-Fylde, FY6 7PU.

Wyre Council is introducing this new online community lottery to provide good causes and community groups with a simple and easy way to raise much needed funds.

60p from every £1 lottery ticket sold will go direct to charities, voluntary organisations and other good causes like yours. Players of the lottery can win a £25,000 jackpot, plus other prizes.

When a player buys a ticket they can choose a specific good cause to receive 50p of their ticket money. If your good cause signs up to the scheme your supporters can choose for their 50p to come directly to you.

A further 10p in every pound will go into a general Wyre Community Lottery good causes fund, with the remainder being put towards prizes, operating costs and VAT.

At the eventyou will be joined by other interested good causes. You will be able tohear all about the new lottery, how it works and how your group/organisation can directly benefit.

There will be a short presentation, followed by a question and answers session, so you will be able to find out everything you need to know. Refreshments will be provided.Council officers will be on hand to provide guidance on the next steps. You can sign up on the day and be one of the first local groups/ organisations to benefit from Wyre Community Lottery.
