This issue once again contains a number of stories highlighting just some of the great work that goes on in the Trust.

One of our main features this week is the exciting news that plans to enhance and expand emergency and critical care departments in Blackpool have been gathering pace, with further progress in a number of key areas. The newsletter features a link to a view of what the facilities could look like.

We are always looking to promote good news stories and we have a number this week with a man who almost died after suffering a cardiac arrest while out running last year met up with the member of staff at the Trust who saved his life.

Social isolation is becoming an increasing issue in society and in this health Matters there is of a new wellbeing group is helping to tackle loneliness in Cleveleys which is proving a great success.
