NEW Virtual session starting soon!

IMO are pleased to announce that we are recruiting for our next cohort, starting from Thursday 8th April 2021.

A virtual course is an online learning environment that allows live interaction between practitioners and participants to share and learn new activities. The benefit of online sessions is you can balance your normal day allowing flexibility and convenience in your own comfort zone.

During the current pandemic, the outcomes of this project will help women to build on their low self-esteem, increase confidence and build resilience in these uncertain unprecedented times.

Following the social distancing guidance and for the health & safety of all our participants we will continue delivering the session online via ZOOM from:

  • Thursday 8th April 20201 – 1pm till 2pm

Women 4 Women virtual sessions will be delivered on a weekly basis for 8 weeks, IMO will support women to discover a new skills, make friends, empower one another, while emphasising positive activities in a friendly, supportive, safe and welcoming environment.

This course is based around peer support and the five ways to well-being. With interactive led sessions, IMO aim to deliver the “8” week course for women aged 18+ from the BAME community who feel isolated, stressed, anxious, experience low mood and/or suffer from other forms of mental health conditions. Please note, this cohort is only open to women from Blackburn with Darwen.

Salma from the last cohort said “Thank you for running this course, it has really helped me to think differently and helped me to come out of my darkness of loneliness. I strongly recommend this course to all the ladies who are struggling”.

Participation is entirely voluntary whilst referrals are welcomed.
