Groundwork UK are working with the NYA to develop an environmentally friendly media campaign focussed on recruiting young volunteers to community based green spaces through the network of local groups they support.

The programme aims to attract young people who have an interest in the environment, volunteering, and the development of media campaigns.

The programme will inform a new national Groundwork campaign that aims to generate more interest in community parks and volunteering.

We will kick off the programme with an online talk and Q & A from guest environmentalist and influencer Megan McCubbin on Thursday 13th May 6pm-7.15pm , this session will be followed by a programme of activity that aims to:

  • Inspire and embrace interest in the environment.
  • Develop skills in emerging tech and media campaigning.
  • Provide access to specialist facilitators and inspiring speakers.
  • Fully inform the wider Groundwork UK media campaign.
  • Encourage and recruit new volunteers to community spaces.

We are looking for young people to shape the development of a national media campaign to put parks on the map whilst learning new skills, making new friends, and connecting with the area they live in.
