An exciting opportunity has arisen for five VCFS members to join our new Pan-Lancashire COVID-19 impact on Ethnic Minority groups’ project group. With your experience, knowledge, skills and insight you will help support our aim to mitigate the wider health and socioeconomic issues and inequalities experienced by these groups, including long Covid and other impacts on people’s health within these communities.

Who we are
The Group will focus on the response and recovery for EM communities and our vulnerable residents from the impacts of COVID-19.
The Group will work to ensure that we are focussed on mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on these groups and to also support mitigation of the wider health, socioeconomic and inequalities
experienced by them. This will include long Covid and the impact on people’s health and wellbeing.

Experience of working within Voluntary Care Faith Sector
Strong leadership skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
As a sector representative on the Group, you will be expected to play an active role in the Pan- Lancashire COVID-19 impact on Ethnic Minority groups meetings. You will help ensure we find solution based approaches, and challenge and influence mainstream institutions around this agenda. We want to ensure we support, motivate and inspire the Recovery Phase of the Covid19
You will be actively engaged with partner organisations and the wider community to address any issues or concerns and will feed this back to the group to help create informed discussions. Agreed recommendations will be forwarded on to Sir Michael Marmot’s Build Back Better initiative.
You will be committed to spending time with the relevant organisations and communities in order to be an asset for our cause as we look to make a positive difference for our EM communities.
