Job Title: Engagement & Participation Worker to cover Blackpool Area
Post: Full tIME, 37 Hours per week
Salary: £ 24,313 per annum
Term: proposed start date June 2021 (to be agreed) until 30th April 2022

(We will consider a secondment to this post)

Location: Based at URPotential office 296, Central Drive Blackpool FY1 5JW

About the role:
You will work as part of the URPotential Targeted Youth team, specialising in creative youth engagement to ensure Blackpool young people’s voices are heard. You will be responsible for:
– Recruiting young people and supporting Blackpool Youth Council
– Delivering creative projects to engage young people in local, regional and national issues and campaigns

– Working with key stakeholders in Blackpool
– Linking with regional and National organisations

– Election o Blackpool Member of UK Parliament and Make Your Mark Ballot
– Delivering creative projects to engage young people in local, regional and national issues and campaigns

Qualification – Youth and Community Work Qualification Level 3 and above or equivalent Level 3 qualification that evidences competence in a related field

URPotential CIC works with young people, adults and communities across the Fylde Coast by offering accredited training, targeted youth work and employability and volunteering opportunities.

Pension: new employees will be enrolled onto URPotential’s company pension scheme in accordance with our employment policy.

Travel: Travelling expenses will be paid for all journeys required for work, excluding travel from home to base. The current rates are 45p per mile for the first 10,000 miles per year and 25p per mile thereafter. As the nature of the post will require travel across the area, a full clean driving licence, appropriate insurance cover and use of a car is essential
