Job Title: Refuge Family Support (Safeguarding)
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, flexibility required
Annual leave: 22 days per annum plus bank holidays
Salary: £22,000 to £23,500
Location: Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde
Contract: 18 months subject to satisfactory performance probationary period of 3 months
Responsible to: Service Manager

Qualification: An appropriate social care qualification equivalent to at least NVQ level 3.

Successful applicant may be required to undertake additional training.

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
To work with families with social care involvement, with the aim of deescalating and removing the need for social care involvement.
To provide focused family support to families with complex needs which improves parenting capacity and increases skill, confidence and abilities of all family members to live their lives in a positive and safe way.
To advocate on behalf of women at multi agency meetings

PERSON SPECIFICATION OVERVIEW
This is a skilled role requiring an individual who would have social care background, experience of multi-agency working, working with other professionals and working with mothers and their
children. A confident communicator, the successful applicant would also be experienced in report writing. Knowledge of domestic violence and abuse.
